At the heart of Cotswold Modern is a custom staircase that pairs the warmth of white oak with crisp, contemporary detailing.
The railing is anchored by custom white oak newel posts, featuring subtle tapering and carefully crafted details that give them a furniture-inspired feel. A white oak handrail and slender black metal spindles bring together natural wood and contrasting metal for a timeless design with a modern edge.
The warm tones of the white oak complement the surrounding herringbone flooring and exposed beams, creating a cohesive connection between the staircase and the architectural details throughout the home. At the same time, the open stringer design gives the staircase a lighter, more open appearance.
Cotswold Modern demonstrates how the right stair and railing details can elevate a space, bringing together quality craftsmanship, balanced proportions, and a mix of materials to create a distinctive focal point.
